For some reason the passenger door has decided to not open from the inner handle. After reading around the forums and the bible I finally got the inner panel off to find the cable disconnected from the door latch. Question is where does it connect to? I can't see an area to hook it on to. Can anyone help (or has got a photo)? I'd have a guess but the mounting plugs are so tight I'm scared of damaging the door panel trim if I do too much trial and error (the cable is VERY short).

Many thanks in advance, Paul.

Just don't do what I did and in struggling to get the door card back on, unknowingly let the cable slip out of the mechanism, put the door back on, do up the really tricky wingnut through the speaker hole, remount the speaker and then find that the door won't open.

Oh yeah - if it's not already been done, replace the nut on the inside of the door card (the one you have to go through the speaker hole to undo) with a wingnut.

Thanks guys - I didn't realise you had to cut away part of the door but it's makes things easier. My car had no actual nuts (there seems to be 2 large-ish threads at the front of the door), so I will attach 2 wing nuts once I'm happy it works. I could get in by the speaker but I noticed the ashtray was loose so went in there. A warning though, there are several steel 'jaws' that will shred your hands if you don't notice them!

My door was already cut like that - I didn't realise till I looked at that photo again that it was non-standard!
