Has anyone else had a problem fitting polyurethane suspension bushes to the bottom withbone? Top fitted a treat but the bottoms (listed as SPF0808) seem to have to large an insert.
The bottom wishbone is 35mm with the chasis bracket at 45mm but the insert is 46mm and just won`t fit...you cant open up the bracket as its triangulated....i`ve been thumping away with a club hammer but it just aint gonna go..i`m tempted to cut down the insert but this just doesn`t seem right? any ideas or is the set listed wrong?.....its detailed as "R Rotoflex inner.Triumph & R Upright TVR vixen"

I'd be tempted to use a foot operated press and guide, rather than a hammer. Most of the bushes I have fitted in the past appeared far too large, but did press into the hole. You local garage should be able to help, or let you borrow.

Unless of course it is the wrong part..................

Problem solved!
i`ve been supplied with the wrong insert for the bushes. TheSPF0808 can be supplied with a 46mm long insert for the Vixen....the S3 has a 45mm insert... so that was a wasted afternoon then!
So if you get the SPF0808 kit make sure that the insert is correct..lesson is "if it don`t fit don`t force"
