First part of the article written by Finlay Charles is a nice, positive piece.

Gavin Conway then decides to stick the boot in and twist the knife

I guess it is a fair reflection of how sharply TVR's divide opinion though, and thankfully there are plenty of us on here who fall into the camp who will "dare to be different", and not choose to buy a Porker of some description.

Conway! What an ill-informed idiot - that kind of article makes me fume. Deliberately sensationalist, obviously intending to inflame.

I have absolutely no confidence that his "stranded by two TVRs" is true - it just makes "good" copy. Why let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

No surprises there then, 4Car journalists as split about TVR and its product as the rest of us (as witnessed by many and often interminable threads)!

Me, love my car not the company, others hate both, but who loves the company and hates the product, and who love both - not many for my money?

Would you take the opinion of someone who dresses like this seriously?

Anybody who wants esp in a true sportscar just doesn't get it.

The pr1ck obviously got his knickers in a twist when he spun the tam. As stated tivs are not for everyone, I'm sure he is very happy in his metallic silver euro box.....

To$$er. I will be sending a letter of complaint to C4. And if anyone does see him in the interim, both barrels, don't hold back.

WOULD YOU BUY A CAR BASED ON THE OPINION OF THIS PERSON?

I must be a bit perverse, because if all the motoring journalists loved and recommended TVR would I buy one? No.

I know the articles title isn't optimistic but surely the last paragraph means something:

So let's not kick TVR because it happens to be down right now - let's instead hope it gets better and has ahead of it at least another 60 years building occasionally infuriating, but always inspiring, great British sports cars.

Well he looks like a really well informed and intelligent person...

And one of the very best motoring writers of this or any other era - the late, great Russell Bulgin - summed up TVR thus: 'Two things make me ashamed to be British. Tim Henman and TVR...'

Think this thread may get a overload..

You, Sir, are a bell end.

In a way, we should be thankful for his comments.

If the idiots' main audience dress like him and can't drive a car in a straight line without controlling a throttle or steering wheel correctly, we are all better off if they drive cars with driver aids instead of TVR's.

The very fact a prick like this dislikes them speaks volumes for the cars appeal IMO,

And the late German motoring press journalist Gure Krosher summed it up perfectly: Two things make ashamed to be German, Hitler and VW!
