Planning future ownership

Right Ive definitely been bitten by the TVR bug, have been for many years, but Im affraid Im not getting any better only worse

I have never sat in ANY TVR so I dont know how will I will fit (6'3" 150kg broad shoulders)

My ultimate aim is to buy myself a Cerbera 4.2 or 4.5...not too fussed which

I love the sound of the Cerb V8 and have never heard anything of a Cerb sp6

Im looking at working my way up through TVR ownership as I know the Cerb is a savage beast and death isnt on my list of immediate things to do!

Anyway, Im putting serious thought into this (it will be at least a couple of years) as I dont wanna rush into something head on and get burned in any way so Im looking for advice/experiences/running costs/servicing etc for 3 models

1.TVR S3 - Ive been kindly informed that the S3 has slightly bigger doors which would make it easier for me to squeeze my gargantuam ass inside without too much hassle. I like the idea of the Ford 2.9 V6 (Learned to drive in a 2.8 Mk2 Granada) and love the sound of those old 6 bangers

2.TVR Griffith/Chimera - Ive always loved both these cars...the Griffith more so, but would space be an issue?

3.TVR Cerbera V8 - The dream and the goal

Any advice, kind words, criticism, pisstakes would be appreciated

the S3 does have longer doors and a larger gap to get into I know of over 6ft'ers in all the models you have said about and none have had any problems, Although I think you may be a bit larger/Broader than them at 150kg.

Best thing would be to get yourself to a local TVRCC or Pistonheads meet and have a try, or even a local TVR dealer.

Just go to a local club meet - ask to sit in a few : I'm sure you will find many willing owners who willingly tell you about ownership.

I might be heading upto the West Yorkshire meet in Drighlington next sunday (my birthday too!) so hopefully I can find even more info and practical advice up there too

The plan is based around buying and selling as the money allows, but if business builds up well and I earn enough money, I will actually buy them all (at different times) and not sell them on....my private collection so to speak! Already got my beemer on the list

I'm 6'2" and find driving the chim very comfy. Just dont plan on sitting in the passenger seat as the footwell is about a foot shorter and I cant get comfy with my knees around my ears.

You'll be fine. My father in law is same weight but 4" shorter & drives the car with no problem. As I said to my missus I needed a car with lots of torque to lug my frame around
