Are they carbon rocker covers sir? They do look rather nice..

May take her to the Pod before the end of the year. I've got a lot of setting up and running to do before I give her a good blast up the strip. I'm building the engine with 10's in mind.

Yes it will still fit with the pipe work on. I tested it with the silicone hose in place. I left an inspection lamp under the clip so I could stare through the top scoop. The carbon covers are Reverie items.

10's.. good man! What sort of figures are we talking, ball-park, for HP, Torque, Weight?
To give you an idea, we run high 9.9's at Pod with the dragster... (680kg's, circa 500hp/500lbft, 12.5 inch slicks, 2 speed glide with transbrake.. etc etc..)
Let me know when you're going up.. I'd love to see it..

Thanks for the compliment. The induction pipes are as follows. 4" into the supercharger and then 3" out . From there it's 3" pipe in and out of the chargercooler and then steps up to 3.5" into the carb hat.
I found a bloke on ebay to make the pipes for me. I have a 4" 90° bend at home that he made. It's good quality. Here's a pic of it. I polished it.
How's the Can-Am running? And what's next to get a bit more power out of it?

hi Dave 90 looks great ,new airbox in being built at the moment and some more mapping this weekened motor feels more torque'e but goes a bit flat at the top end have spoken to auto-nomics in the usa about a new throttle body to flow a bit more air and am due to go back to DW in june for a mapping session also have had a chat with genvee about throttle bodies need a inlet manifold to suit webber down drafts ....crap knows were i'm going to get one of those !!!!!.simon

You could consider the throttle body used in my Holley system. The one on mine will flow up to 1000cfm. It has an IAC (idle air control) motor and TPS included even if you buy it on its own and it would fit on your manifold. It also has a progressive throttle as standard.

interesting idea do you now were i would get one and how much ? would be good to go to DW and try one or to bits !!!ally work looks great .Quick question what are you doing for rocker cover breathers ? i have a push in type but its crap stuck with a 1 1/4 hole in cover have not been able to find anything that looks ok . simon

As for breathers I have bought billet ally ones again from Summit at $29 each. They can be a standard breather(#bsp-20120) or pcv type(#bsp-21120). Same price. They are push-in 1.25".

I wouldn't rush down the individual throttle body route. Just heard from someone who's just removed them from 5L tvr lump because he couldn't get a satisfactory tune.
Hi Dave ,throttlebody looks top quality will be interested to see how you get on with yours ,breathers are spot on have you got the web address ? are you going to order anything else from them ? eliot not too interested in seperate throttle bodies Dave Walker is though would like to get the one i've got sorted first !!!just wondered if there is a inlet manifold that will fit webbers thats all ,still got this lumpy area at 2300 don,t know what to try next more fuel or timeing seems to make no differance any ideas ? regards simon

www.summitracing.com is the site you want. I will be ordering some more things soon myself. As far as your tuning goes I'd want to get that wideband AFR sensor fitted so you can see what's happening around that 2300rpm point.
