I will be rebuilding the front end of my car this weekend. Can I check what size if master cylinder do the majority use. My car is fitted with 3/4"bore front and rear (originally supplied back in 98).
The new brake set up is the factory supplied AP kit and both the servos have been removed. I understand the brake balance is 80F/20R is this figure correct?
I have installed a SPA bias gauge in the front and rear brake circuits. I should get some data once the car is up and running. But a starting point would help.

The Master Cylinder sizes are
0.625 5/8" (Front)
0.75 6/8" (Rear)
The factory ones Girling (I think) but willwoods, or AP will d fine too.
Check your threads and lengths first
Will your pedals take a bios bar?
Talking of pedals is anyone using any other type of pedals, than the factory ones.
I know I'm silly, but the pedales are the bits that make the car go and stop, so they need to be as sexy as possible (as sexy as a peddle can be that is)

I have the exact same thing on an early supplied Sport. I run the bias (with equal sized rotors and discs) at 50/50 to 40/60 on my SPA bias gauge. This car likes a little more rear bias where we can take advantage of those huge rear tires. I believe the factory is now supplying different sized master's now as is pointed out.

I have the standard factory bias bar set-up. I looked at a Tilton pedal assembly but it required major metal work to get it to fit. The Tilton pedals are BIG in comparison the factory supplied units. This would have cause more problems for my size 10 feet!
I did cannibalise the remote adjuster from the Tilton bias bar. It is now fitted to the dash and saves grovelling to adjust the bias.

Hmmmmm... I have always had a problem with this whole subject! One minute its both clys are the same size (as mine are and the factory said they should be) then one larger than the other, the some say bias to the fronts, then bias to the rears?? I have always thought more rear bias would be good but how? Change the cly size?
