So whilst it seems the rest of you were chomping away on expensive burgers and generally having a good time, spare a thought for us builders who spent the BH weekend in the garage!!

I spent most of it covering up the hundreds of perfectly spaced rivet heads with carpet......sacrilege???? Kind of committed now to the luxury style build, but with budget timing!!!

Looks really neat. How did you finish the carpet to the edge of the side pods?

Sledge hammer to crack a nut really, but the edges will be covered with 24mm carbon fibre angle, which will have xmas tree fasteners through bonded to the underside of the horizontal angle. The carbon dissapears into the front and rear of the centre section............well that's the plan! A kind of DIY scuff plate.

Stig, the 17th May SVA is slipping away slowly, I have a few weeks of fat built in, but everything takes time!!

Don't s'pose you can do SVA without doors - or screen??????

Be careful Pete as there's not much of a gap between the cill panel edges and the door grp. If you thicken this with a carbon fibre angle to neaten the outer edge, you may risk not being able to close the door! :-o

My carbon fibre only added about 1mm, any more than that and I would have had a problem.

Don't want to worry you

Carpet will be ok as it will compress, but the carbon fibre may give problems unless it's pretty thin.
