TVR COMPANY PROBLEMS

The cuurent issues facing TVR remind me of similar problems back in the late eighties, early nineties, in so far as they were having trouble making ends-meat.

If I remember correctly, they introduced a 'budget' TVR, the S1 (using a Ford engine) which literally turned around the company. It has often been said that TVR could do with an entry level model, well now would appear the time!

Sounds good in theory but almost impossible to do in small numbers nowadays due to legislation and complex integrated engine management. See some of my comments elsewhere for compariosn to Lotus, who also are making losses with the sort of car you suggest
