TVR racing - Castle Combe, Monday 1 May

Dear all - the racing TVRs are out again at Castle Combe this Bank Holiday Monday.

A number of us have entered the Castle Combe Special GT race in addition to the Dunlop Tuscan Challenge, so two races with TVRs to watch.

Racing starts at 1pm with our races at 3.05 pm and 5.45pm

Castle Combe is one of the best circuits to spectate at (good spectator banking and facilities and a fabulous atmosphere), and suits the Tuscans well.

...yeah, 'cause we're not busy at all in a Tuscan on the way into Tower

Maybe on the slowing down lap (I tried a wave to the TVR flag bearers last year at Tower during the race - not sure I'd try it again )

Not sure what time the doors officially open but people are usually arriving at 7:30 when we sign on.

Only 8 entries in the tuscan race so far? Is that right?

There was 14 startered the race at silverstone.

I think the 14 from Silverstone will be at Combe, plus hopefully a few more. Some did not get their entries in until very late - there were a number of drivers with sick cars to fix....

That list has been on the website for a couple of weeks now (I think) so won't include anyone entered this week and last. The timetable is correct though.

Hum, TVR racing not until 17:45 is a little disappointing as I've got a charity footy match at 3pm

Still, I hope to pop along in the morning to catch the qualifying and have a chat with some owners.

Some of the TVR's have entered the Special GT race as well but it looks as if you will miss that too............

Very much looking forward to this tomorrow. Will be there marshalling somewhere around the start/finish straight to hopefully be close enough to the paddock to go for a look around at lunch time

Big turn out of TVR owners apparently - spoke to Billynomates and DickyMint at the 'Combe' - Tuscan final race still to take place at 17:00 on Monday .. bet the locals will love the noise.

Don't think they will want Billynomates and DickyMint going thru their village again in a hurry
