Confident in assuming we've hijacked the Murci topic for our trans-Atlantic natter, I thought I'd open new one to see how many O/T topics we can cram into one topic

As I said before, I don't drink. Never have, never will. Staying out of trouble with totty is hard enough without juice in my system. I'd hate to think what would happen if I drank - hmmm could be a good excuse though Having worked in fashion for 6 years I've been in many a club while almost everyone around me has shoved something/anything in their noses/throat. You name it and the fashion world will try it. Smoke, drugs and alcohol do not a happy MARA make. Trying to find a model that doesn't do drugs/smoke is a right b*stard of a task.
Clubs full of female models however is something completely different

Always had the pissed taken for not doing drugs/drinking but I know I'll never wake up with a headache next to a skank

Cool a separate thread:

I think hijacking threads is like the best piss ups. The unplanned ones are the best (Although you don't drink I'm sure you get the comparison).

You name it and the fashion world will try it.

Maybe it's your fashion lot that started the mineral water craze? It certainly didn't start with the lunatics I socialise with.

Trying to find a model that doesn't do drugs/smoke is a right b*stard of a task.

A great shame most of em don't get their kicks out of shagging and fast cars. Can't stand smoking, If I could turn the clock back I'd de-invent tobacco plants.

Always had the pissed taken for not doing drugs/drinking....

Time for a sharp exit having given the braindead fcukwit heardlike creatures a slap.

cheers

The current Mrs MARA is def. the one. Really can't see myself ever being without her. All the others have been absolutely stunning in every department (especially the fun departments)but have never possessed that "wife quality". Also Mrs MARA is 5.3" and as cute as they come. The others were all between 5.9" and 5.11" with feet no bigger than size 5&1/2(an absolute requirement for MARA). Mrs MARA is 2&1/2 so I'm in heavan.

Fun department is top of the list in my books.

Although unless Mrs M's a highjumper you'd better get another side step on the jeep.

It's worse than that. She really can't get in by herself. It's a crack-up and a half. What can I attatch to the Jeep to help her out without ruining the look of the jeep?

A couple of options, non of them sensible:

1 - Lowriding adjustable suspension, combined with electronic deflating and inflating tyres.

2 - Rope ladder.

3 - Boat bathing platform style fold down ladder.

4 - Park passenger side next to bloody high kerbs.

5 - Contact Universal Exports and ask for Q, ask for the injector seat (2003 model), tell him 001 sent you and pass on the message the mobile gatso missile system seems to be working most effectively.

DAZ

At home get a set of steps like some people need to use to get on and off of horses. Problem partially solved?

3 - Boat bathing platform style fold down ladder.

However, she is already complaining that this will highlight the fact she is 5.3". Standing next to the me let alone the MARA mobile already does a fine job of that.

Could be that this is the one ve-hi-cle which will allow me to cruise to the beach with just the boys. Any beach totty wanting a lift will have to use the firm hand under the buttocks entry system

No point in doubling up then. Leave that to the likes of Brunei.

or a friend of ours in HK who re-ordered a 355 when he already had two. It was only when the fatory asked him if the other two were okay he realised. His collection is eye, mouth and pant watering. CLK GTR, Zonda, 550 Barchetta, 250GTO to name but a few(and I mean a few).

enough to keep any man happy in the motoring department surely. Does he keep them in HK? am I correct in thinking they have a crippling level of car import duty, in which case even if I were a billionaire if I lived in HK my cars would live elsewhere.

Some in HK and others all over the globe. I know for sure that the Zonda and the CLK GTR was there as it was outside my old apartment one morning. I think there is a race track somewhere in China all the rich boys go. HK isn't really the place for a hyper car now is it. If I remember correctly the tax is 60%. So that would make the CLK GTR $1.6m and the Zonda $748,400. Not really the bargin of the century. Got to be grateful you don't live in Singapore eh(200% there).

I remember seeing a car program discussing the congestion charging in Singapore and whilst there they showed a Porsche GT1. The story went something along the lines of all cars in Singapore are RHD, LHD cannot be registerred for road use. This GT1 was LHD, so the guy who owned it, keeps it at the garage and literally drives it around the garage forecourt every couple of weeks. The guy who owns it must either be an impatient car nut like us lot and can't wait till he leaves Singapore to drive the car or he's a deranged lunatic.

Although I do wonder if perhaps having not registerred the car, could the owner claim it has not been delivered and get out of the Singapore Car Tax, prior to exporting it when he leaves.

DAZ

PS - 60% car tax in HK. I think thats less than one or two of the Scandanavian countries.

I think it's the same in HK(no LHD). These rules make sense for a tiny place though. Used cars in HK, however, are extremely cheap. Never any snow so under body is in great condition. Cars really only do a-b driving so they are normally in great condition. Many ex-pats need to sell very quickly before they leave and there are often bargins to be had. No where to drive though so what's the point.

Porsches get written off on a daily basis, Ferraris on a weekly.

I thought Denmark was close to 100% car tax.

At least it makes us in Holland look cheap with only 40% tax on new cars..

Bye, Arno.

Unless you live at the top of the hill there's probably not a lot of point in having a car. Of course if you can afford to live at the top the cost of the car isn't really an issue.

When you say used cars are cheap in HK, I assume you mean in comparison to new. Not cheap in comparison to UK or other RHD markets for instance.

PS - You must be bloody bored at work today, to go looking for that Lambo with the awful paintjob.

No, cheap as in cheap. Mostly Japanese cars but there are always a few BMW/AUDI & Mercs around. The first owner takes the initial hit and knows they have to sell it cheaply to attract a buyer.

Not at work today as I'm in NY. Back on Monday so I'll have to get my backside off this couch in the morning and do some prep work. bah. No car here yet so have got bugger all to do during the day except practice my Portuguese and Italian. Cold and Fck outside so I've been in for 50-odd hours. If I had the Tuscan or the Cerb here now I'd be off upstate causing trouble.

Oooh! Knightrider is on now. Sweeeeet.

50 hours inside!

Go for a walk you unhealthy slob (Definitely a Pot, Kettle, Black moment here) fresh air is alledgedly good for you. After all Guilliani's made it safe hasn't he, or has Bloomberg fcuked it up.

Have you decided what Tiv to have in New York. Having only stepped outside of JFK and visited Manhatten once I'd take cabs. I wouldn't bother with a car in central London either on the basis of you can never park at your destination.
