Remote horn setup question

I have purchased a remote control system from RF Solutions to operate my horn wirelessly. Now, I'm no auto electrician I have to tell you, but I'm curious to see if there may be an alternative way to do this. How have you chaps with remote keyfobs wired your receivers/horn ? My unit has a power/ground in (straightforward enough) but then a Common relay terminal which I'm guessing I feed from the current horn switch live. Then there is a Normally Open terminal which again I'm guessing I run a wire from to the horn itself, having disconnected the existing horn positive feed. There is also a Normally Closed which I assume I ignore. Does this sound right or is there a better way of going about all this ?

If I remember correctly (and depending on the unit you have - mine was 3 channel), you can change the operation of the relays to be latched or momentary - obviously you need momentary operation. Then, you just need to give the relay input a live which is switched so that you can drive the horn.

So (in theory), you can use the original horn button +ve to power the receiver, loop it to the relay input (so you have a switched +ve feed to the horn), pick up a chassis earth for the receiver -ve, then wire the horn input live to the (switched) relay output.
