why does my flasher unit keep blowing?!!

im going thru flasher units at a rate of notttts! gone thru about 10 in 2 1/2 years! the last one lasted about 8 months, but bought one the other week, and its already knackered!

anyone got any ideas?

Mine has always done that - eats them for breakfast. Not sure what the solution is

Could be many things, my first question would be have you changed the bulbs for higher power ones? (i.e. more current which could be burning the relay out)

hmmm, i dont think the bulbs have been changed, but maybe that might be a solution.

glad to know im not the only one thats had it happen to me!

coming back from oulton park today, another flasher unit went, and i only put it in on sat!!

does ir run throug a fuse??? if not, put it through one, if it is, use a lower power one, mine never ever blows.
