Relay switch box

This weeks problem is that my relay switch box has a mind of its own and keeps draining the battery.
Called out my friends the AA yesterday and he found the problem, cleaned the switch board, put it back together again and it was sorted, or so we thought. The next day, flat battery. When you listen under the bonnet, you can hear it clicking and buzzing (even when the engine is cold).
I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever experienced this problem, and what the cure would be? I'm guessing a new relay switch board. Its also meaning that my indicators, rear windscreen heater and heater have packed up. Which meant an emotional 200 mile drive home from North Devon arm signalling!
Any idea's would be much appreciated!
