Gents,
Has anyone got a nearside (passenger) exhaust manifold......for a V8S?

Mine looks to be blowing where the 4 pipes merge into the collector cone just before the triangular flange where the manifold mates with the Y-piece.I mentioned this to Andy Macloughlin during servicing last Friday, and he said that this is a known failure point - but is only accessible by welding through the opening afforded by the triangular flange. Andy said it usually goes right in the middle of the 4 pipes from the exhaust ports.

I'm hoping I can get a spare to fettle/weld then swap with the one currently on the car. My e-mail is correct on my PH profile.
TIA Nick

I think tvrcarparts.com sell them if that's any use.

Thanks GI.
I'm hoping for a 2nd hand one - cash a bit tight as son at university!
Thought someone who has changed to a s/steel system might help.
Nick

PS its for a pre-cat V8.

There's bound to be somone on here with something kicking about in the garage - best of luck.

I'm having a blowing manifold replaced as part of the post-flood incident repairs.

Graham,
I hope fortune smiles on me!.
I've been to the last 2 Dorset region meets - do you get along to the Avon Causeway?
Anyways, hope all goes well with the de-watering on your P&J!

Nah, it's far too far away for a couple of hours in a pub I'm afraid.

Just my luck (good and bad) that most people live on the east side of Dorset.

I think either the Devon or Somerset meeting is, or used to be, held a place near Crewkerne, which is a lot closer to me. I just never had the time to go.

Graham,
Dorset have a new RO and he seems to want to get a few events off the ground. Might be worth checking the club web site just in case there's something that takes your fancy. I believe a convoy is organised for Castle Coombe on May 1st for the TVR day there.

Still hoping someones got a manifold tucked away in the garage!? Anybody?
Nick.

Gents -
I'm still looking - I will be at Coombe but with Number 5 pot sounding a little louder than the rest!
Someone must have a V8 N/S manifold lurking in their garage?

Drive your car into a flood, then you can get the insurance to pay for a new one.

I miss my Tiv!
