Ride Drive - Recommended

Hi Guys

Just spent the day with Adrian from Ride Drive, fntastic run from Kent through Essex and Sussex to Oakington Airfield where the poor car copped it!

Did some great exercises at the airfield to really understand how the car reacts in certain scenarios, lift off, boot full, emergency braking, slalom etc.

On he road we practiced hazard perception, road positioning and overtaking, vanishing points, seperating braking and gear change (not mastered yet!)

Overall a fantastic day, I could not believe I was being encouraged to go faster.

A brilliant investment for everyone - give them a call!

What happened to the car?

It took a hiding but less so than at a track day I reckon. Less brake work. She is running fine, tyres are scrubbed up a bit from the runway surface but with Snetterton in two weeks, that will sort them out!

Glad you enjoyed your day ..... to master separating braking and gear changing try driving round an Industrial estate or a housing estate where you can keep going 'around the block' to practice (though the people on a housing estate might get a bit fed up with the noise ).

The biggest mistake people make is to leave their braking too late so there is in sufficient time to blip the throttle and make the downchange before the turn. It usually just suddenly 'clicks' with practice ......

I've done two of thses and they are superb, grin factor was mega!

Check the website, they advertise on here. They do a half-day, full day on road, full day including "off-road", and go on from there.
