rad removal - double skinning panels

hello, just in process of removing radiator on a spyder with double skined panels, it looks like I need to remove the double skinning panels to get the radiator out, or is there some clever angling required to remove? Many thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, not sure if the sport front end is the same as the GTR but if it is, then the rad just needs some careful angleing to get the thing out. dont drop the corner of the rad onto the top skin though, might make a hole in it, obviously, i didnt do this, well only once!

must admit that after attempting to angle it out unsucessfully later in the morning I took out a couple of the alloy panels, it will make the job of re-fitting the rubber foam in the gaps easier anyways.....cheers

I just did this on a GTR (thought I had a leak, but luckily didn't). The radiator comes out fine. The one thing I did notice is that if the rear rubber mounts needed replacing, that would probably require removal of the lower alloy panel to get to the nuts that hold the mounts in. But luckily I didn't need to do that.
