If you are looking for me this weekend.
I am of to Hinckley this weekend,
to pick up the GTR kit on monday-morning.

Had the camper MOT-ed this week
and were of on saturday-mornning and back monday-night.
From Holland to calais takes 3 hrs
from dover to hinckley 3.5 hrs
so thats a nice trip with the wife and kids.

Had a mail from Richard that the size of the boy/chassis is 185x400x105.
Shall I use the cartrailer or what?

If it's a built rolling chassis then you may find it too wide for a normal car trailer.
If it is a chassis and body then the standard trailer will work fine. Throw on so blocks or lengths of wood to stand the chassis on. This needs to be deep enough to clear the dropped floor over the upturned lips of the channels the car wheels would normally run in. Throw in plenty of ratchet straps. The factory can supply any packing/padding you will need.
Brings back memories of picking mine up, what a wonderful day.

As I currently don’t have an Ultima but have a need for a trailer, what size and style of trailer should I buy with the view to owning an Ultima in the future?

And also what was the size of the trailer previously mentioned?

OK well you will need a tilting trailer in the future for ground clearance, to make it easy to load, IIRC you will require a width of 6ft 3" minimum, and remember to load it on backwards so the engine is to the front, else you might loose your precious beast

Wonderful Joop I remembered that I was there at the open day in 2005, very fine day it was...went with that train-tunnel...fast and as cheap as the boat on some times
It was a nice ride and all went well with staying on the left side instead of as we used to on the right side of the road...
Till we went back home, I was still busy with cars in my head and drove away from that little industrie park the factory...then some guy warnt us with lights we were driving on the wrong side? so told to the girl(a friend) help me reminded left left left ..lol and the rest went very well...

Joop - if you're going there this weekend, we may see each other. I'm taking the Can-Am up to the factory on Saturday for it's safety checks pre-SVA

I will takethe standaard trailer 180x360, so that will work out.

I leave holland on saturday morning
and will stay/sleep saturdaynight near dover.
I will be in Hinckley on sundayafternoon
(Sorry Stig, would have been nice to meet)
We will look for a camping around hinckley for sundaynight.
and be at the factory on mondaymorning at 8 oclock
We will take the boat back in the afternoon at 17.00 hrs

Because we have the kids with us we will need a lot of stops, and travel slow.
Thight schedule but it was the only way to do it with the family.
And that was something I really liked to do.

Thanks for that info Gman, ill see what I can find in Australia that compares, then again maybe I could get the factory to send a trailer with the order?
Would bring new meaning to the term “drive away kit car”!

For future reference, I got the Can-Am (ergo. a GTR will fit too) on a Brian James Clubman trailer!

You only have about 5mm a side, but it does go on

Joop, if you use http://imageshack.us/ best use jpg format, that also means you have to upload them always by the frog, just click on that frog and the rest will follow... you just copy the first link from that picture, the one that begins with [IMG]http:// and then paste(oftewel, bovenste link kopieren, dan plakken in het veld van PH je hoeft dan niet dat [pic] verhaal te doen, erg makkelijk!) its very easy! that way you don't have to use [pic] code so more easy can't do it wrong good luck GTR man
