Top wishbone

Help!!!!!!!!! Just having a panic attack, I may have the top wishbones on the wrong side's.
When you look from the top of front wheel towards the top shocker mounting, should the top ball joint be to the front or rear of the centre line.
The car is going for 4 wheel alignment this week after a full strip of the suspension, and I dont want the poor guy scratching his head saying it's mile's out! Thanks in advance Chris

ball joints to the rear of centre - you would soon notice if they were wrong as the king pin inclination would be angled forward and your car would drive like a shopping trolly - i'm still having problems with the camber setup on my car - can you find out what camber angle they set yours to and let us know ?

Camber should be about 0.75 - 1 deg negative.

thanks for the info green - the problem is that after rebuilding all of the front suspension - wishbones the lot - i haven't got enough adjustment on the wishbone slots to get more than 0.2 degrees of camber - the chassis is straight and everything is new - the only conclusion i can come to is that the holes on the new top ball joints are drilled in a different position to the old ball joints , this means taking them off and milling the holes to a 6mm long slot
-the only other alternative is to elongate the slots on the wishbones but as i had them powder coated i don't really want to take a file to them.

just seen a project S2 on a chaps drive and they were wrong!!!!!!!but it had'nt been driven for 2 years so I guess he must like shopping. Cheers
