Derek Bell will join Justin in the Derhaag Corvette. With the new Daytona Sports Prototypes currently a shaky proposition, they might have a shot at the overall win.

(First of all... Happy new year, Cyber) Derek Bell... ahh, a star... I ordered the "In Car 956" video as a christmas present for myself and I must say that Mr. Derek Bell is a star, indeed. To drive around the Nordschleife in 6 minutes and 41 seconds (that was in 1983) is somewhat very extreme but also entertaining if you sit in your cosy chair cheawing some christmas cookies and opening yet another bottle of wine. What a drive... BTW, Stefan Bellof is still the record holder at the Nordschleife at 6 minutes and 11 seconds... a talent, how sad he isn't with us anymore. Best wishes to him for Daytona. But please take care of Shorty & Co. Happy new year to all.

I am looking forward to Derek's comments on the car, it's hard to believe there is a type of car he hasn't driven yet! But it will apparently be his first race in a "tube framer". Justin is used to these cars from his TransAm racing.

Talking of 'In Car 956', I was speaking with the good people at Duke Video at the Autosport Show, and they said that it would be released on DVD "sometime before June".
Looks like its going to be an excellent race at daytona this year!
