Gutted - Frustrated - Generally Annoyed!!!!! Why Me?

Having spent ages looking for either a nice Griff or Chim, i find an absolute peach in the Classified section, absolutely perfect, colour spec, owners, price & mileage, (but its a 4.0ltr) but i can live with that.
The only thing is, i was in the process of getting my current car sold to be able to do the swap, get a phone call Monday, the job i went for in the States last month, i've got the job!!! Bummer!!
So what do i do now? Do i buy the Chimaera for it to sit in the garage to only get used every few months or wait til i get back? I really wanted something for Le Mans as well, it was going so swimmingly, the wheels had to fall off at some point!!
The other funny thing was, Monday afternoon, driving with my brother, we were chatting and i'd convinced myself that i couldn't buy one, even though he offered to look after it for me, i decided i shouldn't do it. Then, every other car that came past us was a tasty looking Chimaera, i kid you not. He just laughed at me, saying it was sods law.
I think it all rests on the S60 going, once thats gone, all i need is a rush of blood and it could be sitting in my garage!!! Or, can you export Chimaera's to the states........................

I think you're making the mistake of trying to buy a TVR with your head. That'll never work old boy. Use the force and listen to your heart. If you've found a minter for decent money, go for it. You only live once!
Put it this way: some girls in life are worth putting up with a long distance relationship for. It makes the time you do get to spend with them more special, and gives you something to look forward to when you're away. Same with the Chim (except the car won't expect you to call and write every day

If I looked at it sensibly when I was going for TVRs here are a list of the Cons:
1). I was (and am still) under 25
2). They are group 20
3). They attract a lot of attention for vandals
4). They are GRP so expensive to repair and damage
5). Mostly convertible so not so friendly in all weathers
6). Not exactly modern or new, so no way as comfortable on a day to day basis as a "normal car"
7). Need looking after an maintaining.
8). Dubious reliability
9). Dubious build quality
10). Insurance is less than friendly
11). They can hit silly speeds quite easily - hence license losing ability increases.
12). I was moving to an area where it was known to rain alot, and snow.
13). The car was to be kept outside and used daily.
14). Not exactly cheap to run on, especially on a low wage budget.

yeah, thanks guys, i know what your saying and thats the point i'm making. i have a garage to leave in, might even invest in a cover. My brother would run it for me regularly, if not every weekend every couple of weeks. I will want to use it every time i come home every 2-3 months for a week or 2 at a time, i'm just worried that i'll miss it sooooooo much whilst i'm out there. As R-Kelly once, "my minds telling me nooooooooo!!! but my body, my body is telling me yeeeesss!!!" Except this is a TVR and not some under-age groupy.
I tell you what though, i hope its the weather bringing out Chimaeara's the last few days, i'm seeing loads!!! Someones pushing me towards it!!! DAMN YOU!!!

It takes so long to find a minter, if the price is right you won't loose that much anyhow. Get it done or you will kick yourself later.
If you don't go for it just buy a nice mustang at the other end, or better still a dodge charger 68'-70', some car mags say that it is one if not the most appreciating car the moment especially if you get a 426 Hemi. Would like to put one of those in my chim , MMmmmm.
