Why are some TVR drivers so miserable?
Discussion
If I spot another Tiv, I rightly or wrongly give 'um a big wave as I go past.
Recently I've noticed that not everyone's waving back. Today I saw 3 Tiv's:-
1 T reg Blue chim near Maidenhead - no wave
1 Turquoise Chim coming out of Henley towards Wallingford - no wave
1 Red T350 in Rugby - big wave
When I was driving a Chim, I got a much better response. Is it just that TVR are attracting more miserable people, or is it 'cos I is black? (Tuscan that is!)

Come to Chatsworth on the 22nd April!
Showing my ignorance now, but what's happening at Chatsworth??
Although I'm not sure her in doors will stamp the passport for that as well as Pistonfest!

AC11 - now that's showing off!! How about VFR from EGLM to EGCJ, and then P2 (for you) in PA28R-201, followed by P2 (for me) in AC11 and then P2 in Tam..............

Daggart and I can attest to having actually met the Most Miserable TVR Owner in the world. You could not miss him, over six feet tall, ashen faced, with the expression of a Buckingham Palace guardsman about to suffer a moment of urinary crisis. He was outside a showroom in Edinburgh with his Tuscan and (I assume) his girlfriend.
We arrived, saw him, and with the typical flush of enthusiasm exuded by TVR owners who see another, tried our best to open a conversation: polite small talk, humour, a joke or two, compliments about his car, a cartwheel from Daggart while wearing no trousers, but to no avail. He mumbled something without moving his lips that could have been, "I don't know you tossers," and stood there like the Statue of Liberty without her torch. His equally glum girlfriend in the passenger seat hardly moved an eyelid.
Daggart and I knew our secret signal for "Exit Situation Fast" and made a dignified but not quiet get-away in respective Cerbera and Griffith. So, feckin' nuts to him.

The assumption that was his girlfriend was probably giving him too much credit!

It'd be rude not too. Alan Cassidy is based at WW so was thinking about learning some aeros this year[/quote]
AC is pretty high up there.
I only flew comp aero for 1 yr, bike accident stopped that.
Intend to return to it soon.
Do it, you'll enjoy it & learn some + have fun at the same time.
Think TVR in 3D
