Its happened found some rot on side rails on closer Inspection its bad gone completly through.
I have read some of the posts due to lack of space i am resined to having someone repair it for me. It seems MOOR RACING are the guys to speak to does any one know of any one else that can do the job and what sort of cost am i looking at as always money is an issue so body off would have to be last Resort.

Its more common than people will have you beleive , Unless the car is like Mr Sheens then those in De-Nile just haven't looked close enough yet .
Look on the bright side at least you know its done and its a lot lot cheaper than say major engine work. I look at problems from a £ perspective and out riggers isn't one of the major ones.

(note to those buying as I've seen a cerb I want )

I think most TVR specialists will tackle this sort of work, but I know several peope who've had a good job done by Moore Racing for a very competitive price.

The two Cerb chassis I have looked at recently with bodies off were just as bad, if not worse than my S, so defo keep your eyes open if you buy a Cerb.

Moore Raceing did a good job for me , if you have done a search you will proberbly have seen the pics i posted. The thing is if you can see a rotten outrigger there is proberbly other areas that you can`t see . The fact that moores have seen so many they seem to be able to gauge the extent of the work , they will tell you what you should do ,its then upto you if can can afford to have the work done.If you take the car to them they will give it a look and give you some idea of the cost.
Best of luck.

I recently had mine done at david geralds, very good service, I checked round a few in the area and their quote was about half the price!

Worth it for piece of mind

Just completed a partial body off on my S3. You can raise the body by about 150 m/m to gain enough access to be able to weld in new side & front corner tubes successfully, as long as the rest of the chassis is in resonable condition. Total cost, £100 for the tube £40 for a skilled welder and loads of unpaid hours of partime work on my behalf. Once you get over the intial shock and get stuck in , its all worth while. Just started her up for the first time in 5 months greatttttttttttttttttttttt. On the other hand if you want to drive this summer get plenty of help or pay a pro to do the job. Best of luck.

Andy,
Sorry to hear about the problem, have you tried anyone locally for the welding, Paul Goy Racing or there is a place at Saxilby that may help and there is a guy at Market Rasen ( ColourCoat - 01673 843118) who are good welders.
PM me I.m in Nettleham and there are a number of other TVRs around the Cathedral City!

thanks for coments guys spoke to moore racing seems they can do the job for around £600.as i work in the thermal spray world i am going to metal spray alluminum on the new tubes before being welded on.this will give about 25 years corrosion free outrigger problems.not sure if this has been done before maybe i should speak to mr tvr lol could be on a winner.
