Service charge per hour ?

All,

I was a bit shocked when my sister told me that the BMW dealer she works for changes £105 per hour (plus VAT )

So - how much does your TVR dealer or indie charge per hour

Is there a North / South divide for charging ?

HHC charge about £50 iirc.

Peninsula are £45+VAT/hour IIRC. At least, thats what my last bill was. Dulford are £35+VAT/hour according to their website.

I pay £25/hr at a TVR indy, £32.50/hr at the racing specialist where I get the tweaks done and £30/hr at the Land Rover indy I get my Disco serviced at.

All those big shiney glass and chrome showrooms and "free" cups of coffee have to be paid for somehow...

Andy is definitely good value, but he does need to eat, pay the mortage and feed his drag bike habit, so isn't quite that cheap!

As it is most of us always ask him if he's got the bills wrong as there always seem to be digits missing!

More importantly how good are they. A garage that charges less per hour may be slower at doing the job and could therefore cost more.

Our other car used to be a Alfa Romeo...sold it coz we realised perrys at portsmouth were charging us £80 an hour!!!!

I think Offords are £35 + VAT, but I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get my car back from its shocks upgrade.
