TVR's for short people

Okay, last summer i test drove a Chimera - and with the seat racked fully forward, and the pedals [apparantly] as far forward as possbile, i could just drive it properly.

In other words i had to stretch to fully depress the pedal - while possible, not exactly inspiring.

I realise you can get pedal extensions for the Chimera, and probably the Griff too...

However, I wonder - what are the newer cars like? I noticed the Tuscan and Tamora have pedals from the floor box, do these fit okay for the shorter people? as i cannot imagine pedal extensions there.

I'm 5'4", so short, but no dwarf, and while if i do go for a griff i'd get the extensions (if needed) i wondered about the other cars...

I am 5 foot 4 and had the Japanese kit fitted to the drivers seat.
I also had the lads at the factory adjust the pedals.

No I have no issues and the seat isnt fully up to the steering wheel and the seat isnt as upright so I am a lot more comfortable.

I'm 5'3" and I drove my Griff with no problems - well, apart from having to stretch a bit to declutch.

But when we switched to the Cerb, we had to get a set of Leven pedal extenders fitted because I couldn't drive it as it was. Now the extenders are fitted - no problems at all.

Because of the way that the seats are bolted through the floor it is very easy to insert spacers under the seats and raise up the seat up. Should be able to do this with nearly all TVRs, hence making the pedals even easier to reach.

Sure that your local dealer could sort this out for you.

I'm (just) 5ft and drove our Tuscan although I needed a cushion behind me.

I drive the Sagaris with no problems but I have had to have a clutch extention on the Elise.

I have the complete opposite problem in my Tuscan.....I'm 6ft8.

Anyone know if it's easy to lower the seat a smidge to give a little more head room? Taking the lower velcro seat cushion out works fine but I get a numb bum after a while

The news cars all have adjustable pedals. I am 5ft 5 and had the dealer adjust it but there are holes so anyone can do, its just fiddly. Basically the whole pedal moves so you dont look liky a numpty with the seat a long way forward. The steering wheel also adjusts forward and back and up and down.

Does sound odd, my wife is 5'4" (on a good day) and can drive the Griff and drove the S3c with no problems

Depends, I have long legs but a shortish body so can reach the pedals but have trouble with seeing over the steerin wheel, plus I damaged my shoulder from resting my arm on the center console.
