TVR Specialist near Maidstone

A few weeks ago I had someone run into the back of my Chimaera. Fortunately the damage was only minor but did involve matting/gelcoat/respray of the rear bumper.
I had this work carried out by James Motor Sports.
The work was carried out to a high standard and on schedule. Prior to collection the car had been cleaned and was immaculate.
Chris Baldock is the proprietor, the business used to be the bodyshop for Walldonway TVR. Chris bought the business in September 2005 having previously run the workshop for Walldonway, and has 6 years experience with TVR's. Prior to that he had Lotus experience and has built race cars, he has also been involved with saloon car racing in the hot seat.
When I collected my car he had 2 other Chimaeras, a T350 and an "S" type all having various work done.
I discovered that he does the mechanical work too. His charge for servicing a Chimaera including materials and VAT are £250 for the 6000 mile service and £350 for the 12000.
This compares to £450/£600 quoted for the same services from a TVR dealer (not Walldonway).
In addition to the TVR service schedule Chris also dismantles the brakes so that each pad surface is inspected, and dismantles the suspension for thorough examination, having put the car on a jig to check all the settings.
The workshop is in an old building, no glass and steel showroom, but I don't want to pay for one every time I have my car serviced.
This looks like a pretty good deal to me, and Chris is such a knowledgeable and helpful guy.

You're not the Keith that used to work at Walldonway in the parts dept are you? Cos last time I went in there I was most disappointed to find he had left. The guy was one of the most helpful and knowledgeable people I have ever come across during my V8S tenure. I wanted a gear lever rubber gaiter, and conscious of the name and shame policy I shall only say they no longer stocked them. I got one from TVR car parts in the end, who were suprised the guy at Walldonway did not know one of the later models had the same part. Keith would have known this and the part number off the top of his head!

Keith was an absolute star, always phoned back and seemed to push things through. Real shame that he left, he was a real asset to Walldonway - it's just a shame that noone can even be bothered to phone me back when I enquire about parts prices these days.
