Hello everyone,

I have just taken delivery of a 360M.

Just one thing on my mind. Tubi... or not..??
As far as I know the exhaust system is standard.

I see you guys raving about the sound every other day - that good is it? My only worry is that I like the fact that you can cruise along at 3000 RPM with very little cabin noise and THEN... once over 5700..RRRRRRR!

Does a Tubi intrude at modest RPMs?

Does anyone want to meet up and give me a listen??
Tunnel anyone..?

Happy Christmas

Brian

Well I no longer have my 360 Brian, but I doubt you'll regret having a Tubi on yours. Rich 1231 has a Tubi on his Spider, and AFAIK still has it.

I'd had my car ca. 9 months before having the Tubi fitted and it was like having a new car. It produces a sensational note (cross between 355 howl and GT race car) at high rpm. Most people who heard it seemed to like it. Below 2.5K it is quite bassy and therin lies the one downside of having it: in stationary traffic it can be a real pain in the arse. You can't get away from it by winding the windows up- it's louder - probably because the sound is coming via the bodywork. Cruising at 3K+ revs all you hear is a low howl and it's lovely actually, even after a 2hr run.

Manu & Ajay are sure to be along later and a visit to their premises in Egham will result in playing sound files that'll sink you for sure. Their website has a 360 Tubi video that looks strangely familiar....

Have fun! It's a fantastic car.

Thanks 456,

It is truly a magnificent car. This is my first Ferrari after 3 TVRs. I'm sorry Mr Wheeler, I now know where the price difference goes..

I have NEVER driven a car that holds the road like a 360. Awsome turn in, sharp as f...
Didn't take long before I was hurling the back end around just as I did with my old Caterham!
Such a great car - just a sensation to drive.

Anyone out there wondering if they should throw caution to the wind? DO IT. You will never regret.
Getting behind the wheel of Italy's best is truly an amazing experience - one that still has not quite sunk in.

Cheers

Brian

Thanks Manu,

Re. Tubi for 360.
you couldn't forward a sound file could you? I should be able to meet up with the guys near a tunnel for the ultimate test and no doubt I'll be round your gates like a shot after that...

Rich, you still up for it? Anyone else?
How about Saturday 11th Jan or Sunday 12th ??

Best

Brian

Manu - would you be able to mail me prices for a Tubi for a 99 355GTB (manual)?

Presumably the cats and headers get replaced?

I'd also like to hear one in person and might be able to make the 12th if it's in the South East...

"I only have a 355".

Bet that phrase doesn't get used very often

I have one without Tubi so the comparison would be interesting. Just need to sort a date now.

12th in the late afternoon would be doable for me, 19th might be better or during the day on 18th...

I feel a Ferrari meet coming on....
It would be fabulous for all us to meet again - we've had quite a few people join our ranks since the last meet.
When and where?

Thanks for the reminder Daz! Has the date for this changed ? I distinctly remember looking at the proposed dates and not being able to do any of them. Anyway, it's in the diary and barring any crisis I'll be there. I'll decide what to bring closer to the time.

Hey Kevin.

As I'm doing a 250 mile round trip I want to make sure a few of the regulars are there. Accordingly Steve will be receiving assistance from moi in drumming up support.

cheers

DAZ

PS - Should be bringing the video tape we discussed in Swindon. Just need to sort out a small viewing location.
