Guess who has just put his Range Rover in for repair (thanks to kind chap with sharp key attracted to door panels 
) leaving the Chim as my daily drive - WHEN IT SNOWS!!

(No offence intended to any butch girlfriend owning Chims) The point was the irony of my timing - but i'm now booked on a Ride Drive next week, following which i'll be able to confidently join your girlfriend in the snow. In the meantime - be gentle with me!
when I had my S3 and initially when I had my Chimaera I didn't have a second car so I drove it in wind, rain, ice and snow. I was initially respectful but soon found how far you could push it to have fun. Once I bought the second car I found that when I took the TVRs out I was driving Miss Daisy when conditions were slippery. Same with the Lotus.
If you use it every day I think you become far more confident with the car in all conditions and generally the quickest drivers of both the Tivs and Loti seem to be those that use the car in all weather on a daily basis.

Drove my S3 for almost 2 years in all weather everyday. Rain, snow, ice, sun. Car performed faultlessly. Consequently I could drive consistantly in all conditions and have a lot of fun. Working on and industrial Estate and leaving late was a great laugh. Sadly nowhere near that in the Griff now.
Mine gets used in all weather (except if its p!ssing down and i can't be arsed to get soaked opening the garage! 
)
The only time i shy away from driving the Chim is when it time to tackle the highstreet shops and the supermarket. Since people whose car doors only open fully or not at all seem to congregate at these places..
That and the self-propelling trolleys which mysteriously manage to throw themselves at your car all by themselves...

Ive spent quite a few days in the last week or so driving in Blizzards and snow around Kent.

No I'm not. I'm at the new University of Exeter in Cornwall campus which is at the top of Penryn (about 3 miles away). I do alot of sailing down here but it isnt linked with the Marine School.

I was at the marine college down there some years ago ,used sail at Royal Cornwall.
