I originally fitted my oil cooler (13 row) on the inner wing on the clutch side but thinking of moving it as its probably at too much of an angle to get decent air flow through from the grill. Will they fit in front of the oil filter and would that heat up the air going to the radiator? Its a pre-engaged starter so it cant go there. Wheres the best place to fit them?

With a pre-engaged starter it is difficult to fit it in the optimum place.
You couold cut the grille away and fit it slightly further forward or, maybe, spacer the grill about 1" forward to give the necessary clearance.
On the 1991 Cooper rally car I built in 2004 I fitted an inertia, but of course you have to change the starter ring to do this which just means taking the flywheel off.
