Upgade..what's it worth

I was thinking of selling my 3R, but to be be honest can't think what to replace it with. Thought about various 911's but can't bring myself to do it.

So, one option I have is to upgrade to an M400. There seem to be a few about at the moment with dealers in the early £50's.

What do you think I should get as a trade up from my 3R. 2004 04, Titanium with full red leather, air, track day sump, afterburners, led side lights, speaker upgrade, 6000 mile service completed by Vegantune with other bits and pieces, BOV etc totalling £2K. Very good conditoon and includes the plate GT03 NOB! Currently 5500 miles.

Any dealers fancy a haggle.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

Problems.........

1) I can't afford it

2) I am happy with the 3R and don't think the M400 would be a big enough difference to warrant a 10k+ spend.

3) I only know of 1 azure one with the correct coloured wheels, and Washy won't sell it to me yet!


I am going to stick to the 3R for another year or so and pray that Noble produce a MK2 version with the longitudinal engine and a restyled body etc.


Thinking of fixing my niggles, like M400 linkage, seats, rolling road tweaks, exhauts etc.

But when it comes down to facts, the 3R is a superb car and nothing needs upgrading at all, its just my driving that needs improving.

From that respect, I would consider getting an early elise and doing loads of trackdays with tuition, then getting an M400 after a years skill improvment!
