TVR official regalia

I send an email to TVR some 2/3 weeks ago expressing my surprise that there was no TVR official regalia available and how as a TVR owner, I would love to buy jackets, sweatshirts etc etc to promote the TVR name.

Have I missed something on their web-site? - is it a closely guarded secret? - or are they again missing a golden opportunity to promote the TVR brand name?

I was given a couple of "TVR Torches" as a gift the other day and I think you would struggle to find a more ghastly torch. They look - through the window in the disgusting carton - like Maglites.
In actual fact they are the nastiest, shinest monkey metal you could imagine. The TVR logo is screen printed and the ink is already flaking after inserting the batteries and turning the torch on and off a couple of times. They are horrible beyond horrible. There's no excuse - TVR is renowned for its use of alloy/brass in interiors, so WTF are these torches all about?
Good merchandise is brand extension. Bad merchandise is cynical brand exploitation.
No prizes for guessing which path TVR/Halfrauds followed.
In stark contrast, I have an alloy Bentley torch. It's an authentic Maglite. The Bentley emblem is beautifully engraved on it. It's a real 'little piece of Bentley-ness'.
Meeting the cynicism of the TVR torches with equal cynicism - maybe these fart-skinningly cheap TVR torches are a little piece of TVR-ness.... "The quality is piss-poor but they're shiny."

Not to mention the Breitling Bentley watch which is ace.
TVR are missing a trick here IMHO. They could licence this stuff out and do well with no risk. I used to work for a sports / fashion label and we licenced the name to Gucci for watches, printemps for luggage etc.. I think TVR watches, apparel and luggage would sell well in the UK.
There used to be a place that sold official TVR stuff, and stupid money it was too, like £20 for a basball cap IIRC. It was TVR-something. I heard that the service was verging on non-existent so I expect they've gone pop and nobody cares sufficiently to do anything about it.

Avondale Marketing went t!ts up - not surprised really. Not brilliant quality but huge price. Hope somebody else tries a bit harder next time. (I don't mean instead of the Halfrauds cr@p).
