I put all the dates in my diary last week - we're hoping to get to as many as we can so will certainly give your car a cheer Derek
Are you going to Oulton on 1/4 Penny? Could travel up together if you want? It's one circuit I've never been to but always fancied it.
Derek, from what I've seen of Oulton Park on the TV it's a tight circuit so will suit a car with good handling - d'ya know of any good suspension mods / set ups......?
Anyone other S owners thinking of going....?

Yes
Brand new top secret suspension, I've sold the old crap to some mug
The S will not be at the first meeting though because it's George's dads 90th birthday but I'll be supporting Iain in the Chim.

I've always thought the S would make a great race car .. if you don't win first time out we'll want to know why good luck though .. always great to see the S series doing what they do best .. spanking other cars .. so don't let us down
Thanks Joo and everybody else, I was very disapointed that V6S's were not represented in the series when they can be very easily stiffened up and given a bit more power with the 24v engine. Mind you George is a rookie, so some of the more experianced Tasmin drivers will give him a hard time but that's life.
This is what I read when I skimmed over the text
Derek you do have a duty to keep the old people alive it aint Death Race 2000 you know
Good luck mate

I have to say if i was going to build a tiv to go racing it would definetly be an s, there are so many bonuses to these little gems you dont get with the chims/griffs but i am not saying what as i want to build one for later in the year!

Ooh, sounds interesting, could this be a mini Tuscan racer?
They are better for standing starts, they stop better, they're lighter, and they feel more nimble (in standard spec) than the later models. Maybe some of that nimbleness is down to suspension setup so easily addressed but the other differences are more fundamental. They're also a heck of a lot easier to work on do to the removable bonnet. The main disadvantage is that the huge one-piece bonnet is quite heavy and rather vulnerable, you'd probably want some molds if you were going racing.
