US - (Street) Car Insurance and Track Events

There is so much mis-information about this on the web, I've finally put a page up about it to dispel some of the myths about insurance and the track. To make my life easy, I'll just post links to the page in question so I don't have to respond / update / post individually on all the different forums this'll probably end up on.

I'm getting ready to do Driver's Edge March 4th and 5th. One thing they require is proof of current insurance on the car along with a valid driver's license.

Yeah, that will become more interesting if more "street" car insurers stop covering track events, but until then, you're basically paying a second policy for what your first policy should cover...

Updated the page a bit, and added a list of insurance companies who have recently covered track claims in the US: AAA, Geico, Progressive, Pemco and Nationwide as of this writing. Will continue to update the page as information becomes avail.
