OK, so I completely give in. Of all the things on the car to stall progress it had to be the most simple didn't it. Reassembling the door lock system. Piece of cake me thinks, follow the haynes manual, a few circlips here and there and piow its done. Until you try to lock it and the key only turns half way. Same when you try to lock it from the inside, the latch stops half way and the arm starts to flex when forced.

Has anyone had this problem? I must be missing something very simple but don't know what it is. This has happened both sides aswell.

Sorry if this is obvious,
You do know how the lock works?
ie At rest the key slot is vertical
to lock - turn key 90 degrees and then back to vertical.
To unlock - turn key 90 degrees the other way then back.

I think the problem with the inner lock may be down to adjustment, the 2 screws holding the lever in are in slots which allow the lever to slide
