Check your rad!

I have just noticed a very small pool of water at the bottom of the radiator!
Now, considering the car hasn't moved from the garage in almost 3 months I'm surprised I have'nt seen it before!

Anyone else suffered from this?

I have removed the rad and on close inspection, it looks like a small stone has caused the damage. Probably happened on the last track day I did in October. Also I have removed about 1 cwt of dead flies from it!

It has made me think of perhaps making up a fine removable mesh, which I can just cable tie to the existing grill on future track days.

I can't imagine it affecting the cooling at speed?

That must be what 170+mph does for you! Although that sort of thing could happen at motorway speeds I should think. How was your cooling on track, I seem to remember mine was ok although my oil temp was hitting 110DegC, but I was only getting to 130mph for short periods.
