Here we go again - marlboros in the bin and nicorette all over the house.

So far, we're out of nails long enough to bite, yoghurts and everything chocolate.

Keeping clear of coffee and tea cos, let's face it, they're just not the same without a fag.

Ice cream's next ..... and so far it's only been 1 hours. I don't know if I can make this, folks.

Heh hey! 3.5 days so far for me and not a hint of a serious breakdown or withdrawal pang yet. I'm just about finished reading Alan Carr's Easyway to stop smoking and it seems to have re-programmed my brain. I've already started the usual sanctimonious spouting that always accompanies a freshly reformed smoker!

Good luck fella, may the force be with you!

P.S. You don't actually NEED the cigarettes, it's all an illusion caused by the brainwashing over the years..
P.P.S. Buy the book dammit!

Keep going. I gave up about 20 years ago (ciggies were cheap then!) and did it cold turkey. It's a good thing, I could run a marathon tomorrow (if chased by a pack of rabid dogs)

Carry on stopping

Giving up smoking is easy, 2 years going cold turkey IS the way to go. Do not give money to the theving scum selling gums/patches.
Try giving up Chocolate....Now that is a nightmare.

My mum gave up and she put the money she wasn't spending on cigarettes into a jar so she could actually see what she was saving. At the end of the year she used her "cig money" ti buy herself a treat.

Bloody right; for every packet you don't smoke, he loses money. Now that has to be motivation.
