Whats everyones footwear brand of choice? Does anyone still wear docs, and why are cats so overpriced?

I've a pair of cats for about 18 months. They are by far the best pair of boots I've owned. Really comfy from day one and to coin a phrase they are 'as tough as old boots'

I wouldn't want to pay the full retail price though. I got these on EBay for £30 brand new..

Previously I had a pair of Timberland boots. They were only good for poncing around in and didn't last five minutes in the outside world.

So I'm despreatly scanning EBay for another pair of Cats.

I used to always wear cat boots but there was a turning point about 10 years ago where they suddenly seemed to drop in quality and I never went back.

For decent durable footwear I now go and get a pair of cheapish walking boots. Much more comfortable and last for ages (if not quite as fashion conscious

But not quite

I was a doc lover when I was younger, used to take em out on long walks and found they didnt tire as easily as cats, which seemed to have more 'give' when you laced them up tightly and shoved your foot inside.

I do agree!

Got a pair in Detroit in 1996 for $18 which were super - black suede. Lasted me 3 years of constant wear. They were very smart for big boots too.

Never ever found them again

The greater the perceived quality, and lower real life performance, the happier the shoemakers will be.
