Rear suspension bushes

Hi
I know that there have been previous posts regarding the bushes & lenghth they last. Has anyone replaced them recently with ones from the factory, what colour were they. I note from previous posts that the red ones seem to wear quickly & the grey type are longer lasting- is this still applicable.

so far I have seen 3 colours. Orange were the first, very soft, then Grey, very much harder, and then Red, seem softer but hard wearing. The only ones you need worry about replacing are the rear inners, they take all the pain. When I used the orange ones they only lastest a few hundred miles at most. I would suggest you change the rear inners every year anyway. I would suggest the new red ones.

I've always used the grey ones, this, I think suits the car better for track use, as Paul said you should check them at least every year. I've just replaced mine after two seasons and 3000+ track miles.

I'm on my third set. The first ones were of the orange/red variety, the second set were of the red variety and the ones on at the moment are red with a number of "cut outs" in the bush surface (to aid lubrication?) The factory assure me that this latest incarnation will last much longer due to the stainless steel, as opposed to mild steel, inserts supplied with the new bushes. I don't understand how changing to stainless inserts prolongs the bush life because my problem is elongation of the hole in the bush. Surely only harder more resilient bush material will stop this happening. Any how, the fourth MOT is due soon so the regular bush check will determine if the factory are correct!

I opened the wishbone box last night after seeing this thread. I have all red apart from a few black ones with a note ' black - lower rear only'.

Opened the bag containing the bushes.....the black ones are actually dark grey. Sorry for the bum steer. I have 12 grey ones for the lower rear and the rest red.
