Watching VH2 - freebie on NTL for a couple of weeks now. When I was a lad, (in the mists of time) we had the Cult, who were THE danglies and we also had loadsa other decent bands ... WTF do kids have now? Other than Westlife, nothing.

First to admit - I is a auld tosser. But I do not listen to Radio 2 (no, really, well, hardly ever)

Just me and thee then...

I doubt it. Most of us old gits will be asleep now. Obviously like-minded - who is your favourite totty from the eighties then? Chances are the same as mine...

The Cult are still playing so we still have them - I saw them at Reading few years ago and have singles album.

We have lots of cool bands if you look past commercial pop groups and middle of the road coldplay and that beautiful bloke.

i used to strut round london with "the southern death cult" painted across the back of my bikers jacket.. i was a god! i loved (love) the cult, superb band. the 'alternative' music scene was great when i was a teenager, but i think theres a few bands coming through the ranks who even play their own instruments these days! i dont think the music is too bad at the moment. westlife et al are easily avoided..
