I think not. For me at least. Was in Hungary on a business trip. Had previously booked a hire car over the internet and was quoted 84 EUR for two days – reasonable. Take the car back to the airport Friday afternoon. The bill is 360 EUR! For an Opel Corsa for 285 kms over 44 hours FFS! 
Cue huge row with hire car desk. They will do nothing. They have my credit card details from when I picked up the car. I will have to file a complaint with head office and try and get a refund I’m told. 
Fat chance. Now I’m in a bad mood.
Go to check in. My flight is cancelled due to Milan airport being closed for bad weather
. Cue two hour wait at the airline office to get moved to another flight. There are no more onward connections to Barcelona tonight sir you’ll have to go tomorrow. There probably were onward connections available when I started queuing Oh, and because the weather is outside the airline’s control there’s no compensation so I have to fork out for a hotel, airport transfers and pay movies 
So now I’m stuck in Budapest for Friday night. Not bad you may think except it’s -12 dec C so you can’t walk anywhere and I have to be up at 6:00 am for my flight
. So it’s a quick meal, a couple of beers at the hotel bar then an early night. I finally got home 2:00 pm today. I have to leave at 4:00 pm tomorrow to fly back to Hungary. So I get home for a total of 26 hours this weekend. If I’d know I would have stayed there - even if the office is in the back end of nowhere.
And the final straw? I go to give the 360 a quick look over since it’s been parked up all week and some
has dinked it whilst it’s parked. A 1.5 inch scratch and small dent just below the left headlight. It’s in a private car park for about 6 cars beneath flats. I have pretty good idea of who did it but no evidence so I’m stuffed really. It’s not bad but will probably cost about 200-300 quid to put right. Plus it’s on a really noticeable part of the car so will make it look scruffy, especially when it’s all polished up.
I don’t think it can get much worse but there still 30 hours to go so anything’s possible
Right I’m off for a slap up meal and going to get bladdered
