Very nice, if you can, stay in Fiscado (I think), its an old fishing village at the North of the island and is the only town to survive the huge earthquake in the 50's. Consequently most of the other villages are rebuilt concrete places without a great deal of charm.

Oh and dont trust the maps.

Kefalonia is stunning, had a very nice holiday in Fescardo last year. Look for the Almeara Hotel at the top of the hill which was exceptionally good. Think we went with Tapestry Holidays.

We got round Argostoli, Myrtos Beach, Robola Vineyards......you can drive round the island in about 2 hours.

Yes, sailed the Ionian sea in 2004, very nice place if you want to get away from everything. Had a stonking time.

Had a ball there. It was Sept. so out of season. Introduced the locals the Jameson.

Nice beaches, still "relatively" undeveloped and good fun. Go, take a boat trip, relax, relax, oh and relax.

Kefalonia is lovely. However for the best and most unspoilt Greek Island (if that's what you want), have at look at Skiathos....

Kefalonia is by far the best of the islands I've been to. I would highly recommend staying at "the white rocks" lovely hotel.

Cheers

Just have done. I just hope the big man doesn't mind me letting on. He's quite big. And scary.

Beautiful island undeveloped when we went there 2 years ago, must visit Myrtos beach... stunning. One of my favourite ever holidays, the western promontary (opposite argolstoli (get a ferry) is much less travelled and has some lovely small beaches if you explore.
