6 months ago a girl I work with – Lizzy - left to take up a job in the North. Whilst she was working with me, we had a normal office type relationship – She started as a grad and I showed her the ropes (stop sniggering at the back) – the long and short of it is that we got pretty close.

During the couple of years that we worked together I fancied her something rotten – but never divulged this fact to her – much to my frustration

Both of us were attached nothing ever happened – once at the office party both well pi$$ed up we had the "how things could be different if we weren’t with our respective other halves" chat etc. etc. etc

Dangerous stuff for an attached man…

Last night I got a text from her saying that she’d split from her boyfriend and if I was in the area she'd like to meet up...

Reading between the lines, should I interpret this as an offer?

anyone had similar experience?

which path did you take?

Was it really the case that "to travel is better than to arrive"??

Go for it if you don't you'll end up wondering what if. Its better to regret things you've done rather than those you haven't.

That is definitely an "interested" offer...

Are you still attached? Happy?

Serious answer, it depends on the state of your current relationship.

Non-serious, post pictures of each of them and we will help you decide

definitely meet her. have a good chat, and be honest with each other and then you will know where you both stand. Then, you might have some serious thinking to do about you current situation, and only you can make that decision

It's an offer. If you don't accept it you will spend the rest of your life wondering. Meet/meat her and see how it goes.

Save time, ask her if she want a shag or a chat, then depending on the answer book into a Travelodge.

Naaaa. She's your mate! She's probably down in the dumps and knows you'll lift her spirits a bit.

Beware if it turns into something carnal. Once she gets out of her blues stage she'll remind herself why she didn't get her kecks off for you before

this job she left for ooop North, is it for same firm as you still work for, ie internal move? If so chat only is my advice. Playing not so far away from work / home, hmmmm there be dangerous waters me boyo.

We've got one such situation going tits up on the floor above, she in tears every day, him off work with stress because wifey found out and put his gonads in the vice re her, the kids plus another one on the way, CSA licking their chops.

If it's a different firm then down to your conscience re any current relationships, cannot advise. If it were me a chat only but then I'm a boring reliable old fart.

FiF the voice of reason, or not.....
