I'm sure this post has come up time and time again, but I am currently looking for contacts/suppliers of wooden steering wheels and gear knobs. If any of you out there are considering the stainless steel look and wish to sell those wooden bits, could you drop me a line. As I speak, I am having a one piece American Burr Walnut (darkish wood) replaced in the dash and switch panel and I therefore wish the steering wheel and gear knob to match. The wood used by the craftsmen is the same used in the Astons and Jags, (top dollar!) they have done an absolutely stunning job. Currently the interior is like an Airfix model, waiting to be assembled! And when all is done, I wish for the steering wheel and knob to match. Any ideas? Thanks.
Thanks Pete and Mike for your comments re: Slippery. I know this has been raised many times before. And I have been warned now!!!!! But with thew new wood going in, I wish to go for the looks rather than the 'speed!' I wont be using it for track days!! However, I have taken your comments on board and as a safety net, I wish to keep my old leather steering wheel should I wish to change back. Still looking for a wooden gear knob if any one knows of one going spare!

I had a wooden gear knob made for my S3 a couple of years ago. A company in Birmingham, can't remember their name off the top of my head, but i have details at home. They specialise in automotive woodwork, especially Jags. Had the knob made the same size and shape as the ford original, the shade of wood matched to the wheel and a TVR logo inserted on the top. Think it was £27. Will sort out the details if you like.

Magic! That's just what I'm looking for, Same style etc.
If you can find the details I would be most grateful. I went to a Jag dealer in Swindon, as my American Burr Walnut is the same as in some Jags, therefore keen to get it to match, they wanted £104!!! - Ummmm - 'I don't think so!!!'
Made to measure and the right colour (all being well!) at £27 is more like it!!!!
Many thanks
