Oh joy, I'm flying tomorrow and the machine we are using has a quarter-inch gap in the door that lets a 100mph breeze through. Looks like 2 pairs of trousers and 3 pairs of socks again.

Just down from the Lowestoft area it has been hovering around the zero mark all day, I recon It would have snowed if we had some clouds.

2 years ago this week I had the pleasure of being in Lapland with work. It was -25C, snowing and windy. I found myself outside in this wearing a blazer, shirt and trousers for 3 minutes trying to put the engine covers on a business jet without gloves (don't ask...). When I got back inside and the circulation restarted the pain was excruciating. My fingers hurt for the next few days.

Later on we got -25C with clear skies and no wind. That wasn't nearly so bad, other than your nose hairs freezing and crinkling every time you exhaled. I swore I'd never complain about the cold in the UK again!
