Petrol guage sender HELP!!
Discussion
I have to replace my fuel sender as the guage doesnt work. I have joined the wires together and the needle goes to the top so its ok, and I guess the earth is ok too as this works. Or am I mistaken? The earth looks like it is attached to one of the brackets holding the tank in place.
I have only managed to get a newer sender, the plastic one with 3 spade connectors.
Has anybody managed to convert this type to fit old style tank? I guess I need to drill 5 holes in it to match the old one and use the old tiny nut and bolts?
Help with this would be great as I still have to guess how much petrol is in the tank and
nearly got it wrong a couple of times.
Amazing how far a S will roll to the garage!!!
