People have different kind of tolerance when it comes to cold and I just wondered while driving back home from work and the temperature today hit as low as -38 C. What is the coldest you have experienced or perhaps even driven a car???

coldest I've been in was around -42 deg C , during a "cold snap" in Anchorage ..... typical winter temp was only around -15 to -25 though. I'm a real wimp now I live in the UK.

I'd much rather have -20 and sunny than the horrible grey , dark , damp, miserable UK weather ...... at least you can go skiing.

ive seen -27 in pittsburgh, i have a high cold tolerance, but hate the heat. Give me a cold, crisp day with perfect visibility- great for driving or flying.

Below 5 deg C requires a flat on the jet adjusting nut to richen the mixture up a bit. Below zero the bar muffs come out, which are great. I don't really mind the cold per se. But on two wheels I don't like any temperature cold enough to put ice on the roads. Between 5 and 15 deg C I'm happiest. And given the choice, I'd take cold over hot any day - at least when it's cold you can put extra clothes on.

I was pretty cold yesterday - I came home from school on my bike, and it took 30 minutes in the p*ssing rain. I got absolutely soaked, and very cold. I even managed to lock my back wheel up and left a nice long skid mark down my drive because I grabbed the brakes too quickly in my efforts to stop and get inside asap. Then again, it was probably only about 5 degrees...

North coast of Siberia - Ambient temperature was -48C and I was hanging out of an unheated Russian military helicopter doing 70mph while I was filming some people on the ground. Coldest I have ever been in my life apart from possibly just after I asked miss Jane Martin for a date when I was 15. . . .

That doesn't count! You were inside a plane! Personally I think the coldest I've been at was -28 deg C in the French Alps, skiing

It's called sarcasm.

I do recall -22C when sk-ing in Cervinia though.

I once bought a brand new house in the middle of a very bad winter.
As the heating wasn't yet working, it was so cold INSIDE we actually put a cardigan on our border collie and went to bed in our ski suits.

Well when you said that, I have to tell you this; in january 1999 outside temperature was -51 C, and no I wasn´t sitting inside a plane other than a 1982 model Honda Civic and driving to work. And yes, I did get to work without problems
