Just found out that I can't and its quite scary. Under strict orders that I must do the last the five Crimbo thankyou cards (because she had done "all the bloody others", I have been trying to accomplish this gargantuan task all morning. Well I am on my 12th card now and still only got 4 done, I keep ballsing it up and to be honest even the ones I have finished look a bit shit. Guess it is quite while since I have had to write more than a few words at any one time, apart from the odd cheque I seem to be able to avoid it.

If like me you have become a slave to the computer, have a go and scare yourself.

...or maybe its just me

Not just you at all. And with cheque-issuing limited to about 1 a year it's getting worse.

I can no longer read my own writing!

I don't have particularly good handwriting but I love writing. I find it theraputic to put all of my thoughts on paper and just love the process. It's kind of sad I know but I feel that there's no better way to get your anger/boredom out by writing it down on good paper with a damn nice fountain pen.

I always prefer to do my notes or my work on paper anyway and use the computer for the final draft.

I will probably be the only one though

Why don't you type your thank you letters. I always write the Dear Aunty Flo bit and my signature and type the rest.

Agreed, then you can do multiples and not worry about the wrist, I do labels for all my xmas cards too so don't spend ages writing them all out

I write copious amounts of handwritten notes while I use the computer anyway, my handwriting has always been atrocious though, thank god for computers .

I find I can type faster than I can write, so when I write in order to keep up with my thoughts my writing goes all to pot.

My writing seems to lag about 3-5 sentences behind. Hence why I tend to make up words from different sentences!

My writing is embarrassingly bad. I have considered taking up calligraphy, to try to re-train myself to form letters, but it's making the time....

Tried but denied...something about it not being personal enough, personally I think I am just being tested
(or maybe punished ...oh shit what have I forgotten, there could be whole other issue here that I am not even aware of!).

I keep an A4 lined day book and fountain pen by my PC at work and make notes throughout the day so my handwriting is still OK. My spelling is atrocious but it always has been!

My hand writing has always been poor, but is definitely geting worse.

Some friends and collegues have beautiful handwriting - I wish I did.

I wonder how difficult it is to teach yourself a new style of writing....
