Leo Blair kidnap

Could not believe Fathers for Justice would even consider this one !
They wouldn't and they didn't.
After all - PHers were supposed to have made "Death Threats" to the lass that runs BRAKE - and we all know what bollox that was.
If I was feeling conspiracy minded I'd have said this was a story put out by certain interests to create scuttlebutt and ill-feeling towards FFJ.
To even mention their name in the same column is to do them a disservice and plays directly into the hands of the like of Fiona Bruce.
It appears there was no plot, merely a suggestion of a plot and not by FFJ but by some former members, as was said earlier a bit of a non-story.
However having listened to some members of FFJ, it would not surprise me, some of them do not IMO deserve to gain access to their children.

I think a desperate Father might behave in quite an extreme way...
As for the "plot" - this will do their campaign no favours. I hope the idiots involved are publically denounced swiftly.
Yup - propaganda as far as I can see. From the sounds of thing it's the equivalent of a group of guys sitting in the put talking tall stories!! Christ if we all got arrested for conversations we had over beer we'd all be locked up by now.
Too much concernt that FFJ are getting good support and a blatant attempt to take them out.
God I hate the media.

Unless, of course, the whole thing is a complete fabrication.
Of course - but at this stage it doesn't really matter if it is a fabrication. The critical thing is for the leadership of the campaign to move swiftly to limit damage. They need to be seen on every news channel and in every paper denouncing any such "plans" as totally unnacceptable and put as much distance between themselves and the "story" as possible.
Sadly, truth and public opinion rarely go hand in hand.

I doubt it. The top bloke from FFJ was on R4 this morning and seemed (in my semi comatose half asleep mode) to suggest it was an offshoot of former members.
Whatever we may think of FFJ or the validity of some of their grievances there are some right nutters involved with it.

I agree with you and apache, I thought exactly the same, the government do like to smear and dirty tricks campaigns a little too much I think.
I often wonder what would happen if we had no TV/media for just a month, I have a feeling the majority would start thinking a lot more for themselves, and they'd see just how much they have allowed themselves to be manipulated by silly stories like this!

Now that just about somes it up.
I can almost picture the scene on a FFJ thread somewhere out there on the tinternet
"What's Tony Blair doing for us"
"Nothing he doesn't understand"
"How would he feel if he couldn't see his children"
"Exactly, maybe we ought to show him what it's like"
"Yea lets dress up as superheros, snatch one from school and drive round london with him on top of a double decker bus"
"Don't be daft you really will get shot for that one"
Followed by GCHQ quickly deciding they have uncovered a plot to kidnap the PM's son
just incase some tw4t has read that and really does decide that not only do PH'ers want to murder safety campaigners but we also fancy becoming child snatchers, sod off and grow up I put it in speach marks to demonstrate a possible scenario
As far as I can tell there was no arrest, because there was no plot and the only law that had been broken was the unwritten law that these days you watch what you say down the pub. Because if the wrong person overhears you saying drunkenly to a mate after 5 pints "yeah someone ought to put a bomb under that X" the next thing you know they'll be an armed response unit knocking on your door at 5am.

There are some very twisted mothers out there......
Put yourself in a Fathers shoes, you arrange to go and see your son every Wednesday night and the ex dictates you can't take him away or see him any other place then inside her house and only for 2 to 3 hours. She ask you to babysit whilst she goes out with friends on occasion but she then got a child minder to supervise your visit!
You agree since you want to see your son and that's the most important thing. After a few months the ex starts messing you about, she goes out on the arranged night and you've just driven 50 miles to visit. You get an apology and an excuse a few days later but it happens again a week or two later.
Then a couple of weeks later you arrive on teh agreed night to find that this time the ex is so blatant that she makes no attempt to hide the fact that she is at home but has her music up loud and ignores you knocking on her door and tapping the kitchen window. You can hear your son crying, so you knock more loudly to be heard, eventually you give up and drive home.
The next thing you know is the police pay you a visit and tell you that you caused a disturbance and tried to break into your ex's house (she threw something through her own window faking an attempted break in) and it must be true because her neighbours heard you banging on the door and a little later she ran to her neighbour crying. The ex isn't pressing charges but the police will take it into account if any future problems occur.
This happened to me, I'd never dream of doing anything like that - she did all this so that she could build some circumstantial evidence against me and blacken my name.
I didn't get angry, not outwardly anyway and I was helpless to anything about it. She contacted me after to tell me I wouldn't see my son again or she would contact the police to press charges.
I can see why some fathers reach breaking point.
I haven't seen my son again since...

Sounds to me like a typical Labour non story released to the press to deflect attention from the current raft of problems covered in the media.
Don't think its worked this time.
They couldn't kidnap Cherie though - you'd need a huge lowloader to fit that arse on

Mate, I have a lump in my throat. I am so sorry to hear of your misfortune. Its a sad thing - but not everyone we think we know and love turns out to be who we thought they were.
I'd advise you going legal if I thought it would do any good. But it won't.
Gutted for you.
