Is there much variation in new TVR prices?

Probably depends on whether you want to buy an 'already built' car or want to spec it up yourself.I should of thought at this time of year there will probably be a few dealers with cars in stock and a deal to be done.If you're looking to spec one up yourself it could still be worth ringing around a few dealers to see if they will throw any extras in for nothing or do a servicing package or something.If you don't ask you don't get!They probably need your business more than you need to deal with them.

To answer the original post, there are some deals to be had at the moment - particularly on stock cars of which there is a good selection in the network at the moment. Gatwick TVR advertised some early year deals to stimulate sales so are worth a look.
Be careful of driving too hard a bargain though - you'll need to return to the dealer for support, and you'll doubtless expect some 'goodwill' and service. You need the dealer to be able to afford that more than a whopping purchase discount. You can't have it both ways.

Buying in January is always a good idea if the dealer has a car in stock that you want. I bought my first Tuscan in Jan 2003. It was sitting in the showroom unregistered and happened to be the spec I wanted. It was January and the dealer was quiet so we were able to have a mutually beneficial deal.
Dont want to be jumped on for innapropriate advertising but there are some fantastic deals around for a variety of reasons.................imagine a MK2 Tuscan with all the trimming, 5,000 on the clock (just run in) with 2.5 yr waranty still in place for just under £35,000. I think thats ludicrous but tis market forces at the moment and its heartbreaking if your selling !! Email me for details !!!!!!!!!!!

I would say so, my prevous car came with the the dealers (no longer trading) bill from Blackpool in the boot (along with the rear screen) due to the fact they couldnt be arsed to PDI it! All I can say is having spent 5 years in new car sales, if my car was indicative of the marigins on TVRs then you should have plenty of room for negotiation, especailly on dealer stock. My Tuscan was pre-USSR stock mind so things may have changed.
