How much do you spend on a Hair Cut ?

Is the guy I work with mad paying £26 (Cut & Blow by a stylist and came back looking much the same) he claims he always pays about £25.

I get someone to come to my house for a little over a fiver every three weeks.

I pay 25.

Quite normal I thought....maybe I'm just accustomed to being fleeced.

I get Mrs 406 to do mine. Apart from the initial cost of the trimmer - £36 2 years ago - it's all free. Result

its a fiver at the local barbers, but i've been known to spend a tenner at the local hairdressers (unisex before you ask!), as the girls are pretty!

I pay about £12 for a cut - mainly because it's practical. It's right next to work & they do it quickly.
At the end of the day it's your money & you make that choice, some people will pay £5k for some car wax or a TV

I havnt had my hair cut for a fair bit over a year now. If I get fed up with it, ill just shave it off.

Else it would cost about £8 I think but im too tight to pay that really.

I buy a set of hair clippers every three or four years at about £50, then irregularly get Mrs Yrth to trim the hair back to around 4mm - neat if not exactly stylish, and it grows back through a series of reasonably acceptable stages.

All my hair is for is keeping my head warm.
My GF does my haircut in the kitchen and all it costs me is some smacks around the head for not sitting still.
Most I ever paid was about £15 for a 'stylist', it looked pap. An old schoolfriend used to do it for a fiver and it was the best haircut i ever got.

£11 for a cut and wash (gel, no drying!) Give the guy a couple of quid on top (cause I'm good like that!) It's a nice old "Gentlemans" barbers..you know, page 3 calendar on the wall, rubbers on the shelf. Used to go to a "fashionable" outfit, where bookings were essential and they'll happily relieve you of £45. 'Er indoors regularly spends £175 a time, on a haircut and various "products"...Just don't understand 'em!

normally i spend about £8.
i have spent £25 a couple of times on "posh" haircuts, and the service is great, but ive never felt that the haircut was any better than a normal barber cut.

i have however recently found a much cheaper way of doing things:

dont get your haircut!
i havent had mine cut for about 8 months now, hence saving me about £70 (or £250 based on "posh" prices!). altho i am a student so it doesnt actually matter whether i get my haircut or not!

haircut?

bought clippers 10 years ago at £30, now grade 0.5 once a week, nothing more to worry about.

about 5p a cut at the moment, but will get less if i keep the clippers a little longer.
