Picture the scene. Imagine you can afford to buy anything you want and live anywhere in the world you want.

What I want to know is this: Which car would you choose to drive on your favourite piece of road(s)?

Numerous roads to choose from. If the weather was good, i'd be piloting a Caterham 500 Superlight, though.

Ime there already.....shuts eyes and dreams.......its a hot sunday around two in the afternoon and ime on the M27 driving towards Bournemouth and the coast ,ime in my Black vette and the roof is off,no need for music as i can hear the eight cylinder sympthony....i come off the end of the M27 on to the two lane A27 and the road starts to rise slowly....the green trees of the New Forest curl over above my head and i turn on the stereo to hear the "Beach Boys" and "I can hear music"..the first line reads to the sound of the tamborine playing in the back ground ..."This is the way,the i always dreamed it would be......"

as the motor purrs i come to the top of the hill and the road has a slight turn then straightens and clears and as i apply more power i can see the torque makes the gap between where the door panel and dash board differ the V8 growl dissapears into the forest.....

Its the 13th! i'm staying away from the roads today.

On an ever-so-slightly different note - what's happened to the little scripts underneath everyone's forum name where it tells us how many posts and how many years a member? They've disappeared and i quite liked reading them?!

I'm in an AC Cobra, it's late summer, the sun is just setting and I'm driving down the Almalfi coastal road in Southern Italy. A while back we stopped in an a small shop and bought a tub of natural yougurt and a pound of grapes.... Camron Diaz is sitting next to me in passenger seat.

She's screaming 'cause you're driving south on one of the most scary roads in the world, and she's afraid of heights

Yoghurt, grapes and Cameron Diaz. Mix together and you have the ingredients that would make Ready, Steady, Cook blush.......

B4368 (dead of night) through Shropshire and then vanish into wales. In the past the car of choice would be an Elise, but I've gotten older and now would choose a Cayman/Boxster for such a journey. Heaven.

That's the exact road I was going say, before I'd even read your post. However, I'd be driving a Mk1 Mini Cooper S. Until it overheats anyway.

Last time I drove along the M27->A27, I was treated to a veritable symphony. X40 TVR I believe, screamed along at just under a ton all cylinders wailing
